My favourite vegan sandwich! (sorry, not healthy)

Are you plant based and looking for a vegan sandwich that is easy, quick, salty and delicious? Perhaps smashed avocado toast is just too exotic? Missing grilled cheese and Daiya just isn't going to cut it?

5 Ingredients!

Bread!

Vegenaise!

Tomato!

Salt! Pepper!

I don't know why I'm shouting! Maybe because I'm pretty pumped about this sandwich. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure. When you're eating a plant based diet, it's nice to have some easy snacks you can whip up. In this case, something that can replace a time honoured staple like grilled cheese!

What kind of sammies have you been making these days? By the way, do you or someone you know say tom-ah-toe?

A DOG VLOG - Canoeing and off-grid camping at Vermillion Lake, Ontario starring Ollie!

Ontario has countless beautiful lakes to explore! Our family has always loved a little known lake called Vermillion. It's not crowded, and there's always a cliff to jump off.

This was our little Jack Russell Dachshund (Jackweenie) Ollie's first canoe trip, and by the end he was quite acquainted with the water!

Building huge garden planters from old wood planks. Grow your own food!

Perhaps we all have junk in our homes that hurt us every time we look at it... "It has value" we say! We had a huge pile of old wood that was excavated from the house during a renovation. These old fir planks are strong, and beautiful, in all their rustic glory, but Aaron had no idea what to do with them. They also happened to be in a wide variety of lengths and widths. Mostly they're 1x6"...ish.

With the world changing rapidly, we would like to be more self-sufficient. Our plan is to start growing some of our own fruits and vegetables this spring.

Hunter had a great idea. Let's build some garden planters, and make them nice and tall so Ollie can't jump in them! Luckily Aaron loves building things, or in other terms, Adult Lego.

Materials:

(4) 30" 2x4"

(10) 24" 1x6" planks

(10) 48" 1x6" planks

(80) 2.5" deck screws

These planters are tall! Much taller than the average. Turns out soil will cost a fortune, so we'll have to use filler. We're new to this!

The yard is really coming together this year...

Adventures in Isolation!

Like most of you, we're not going out much these days, unless it's for essentials!

We needed to run a few errands, and have a little lunch date to ourselves (don't worry, our puppy Ollie still makes plenty of appearances). These days it's not so easy…

How are you adventuring these days?
